Louis Storm is no athlete, but a talented artist creating art that speaks to the soul. After seeing what the Miles for Smiles foundation does, he has been inspired to take up the challenge – ICAN make a difference. Louis has decided to “paint his way to giving a child a smile” the only way that he knows how to do this is to Challenge his brush against time, just as the adventure athletes involved in the Miles for Smiles challenges do.
From a background of interior design, he is used to the challenge of tackling deadlines and working against the clock.
His styles vary between modern-contemporary to classic.
Louis utilises various natural and synthetic mediums to achieve the complex textures of his modern-contemporary art pieces, a great attraction to owners of his art. Louis has recently rediscovered his love for colour; his more recent pieces have evolved into vibrant, colorful bursts of expression.There are also the timeless classic pieces which are reminiscent of a by gone era.
The deadline has been set. 28 works of art have to be completed in 28 days as the exhibition has to open the night before David leaves on his epic 4500km run of India the exhibition will be open to the public for on the 28th and 29th of October 2011 in the cellar at Villiera Wines Stellenbosch. 15% of selling price of these works will be donated to Miles for Smiles.
