The South African Challenge is a unique event that takes place over 2 days and 2 nights and pits the top companies from around South Africa against each other. The event is based on the Intelligent Sport concept whereby intelligence and strategy are as important to the final outcome as physical ability. The SA Challenge is the challenge of a lifetime, and provides companies the opportunity to compete in a multi- sport event, combining the thrills of adventure racing with complex strategic scenarios. This is an adrenaline fuelled event and a life changing experience. The benefits include personal and team development, strategy implementation, networking and benchmarking against peers on all levels.
The 2011 event will take place on the Breede River in the Western Cape from the 8th – 11th September and will see teams participating in a series of challenges that may see them biking, hiking, running, rafting, kayaking and navigating their way through nature and a mine-field of puzzles and problems.
Over the past three years the event has raised over R 750 000.00 for charity and the goal in 2011 is to raise R 400 000.00 for Miles for Smiles. 5% of all revenues will go directly to Miles for Smiles and additional funding will be raised by participating companies. There will be extensive media coverage and the event will be broadcast on Supersport throughout Africa.
