“With the support of Team RSA-Web, Cipla Miles for Smiles and all of YOU, Catherine Townshend and Julia Skea experienced the thrill of competing alongside some of the best MTB stage-racers in the world at the 2011 Cape Epic finishing in 6th place in the ladies category (139th overall) and raising in excess of R50 000 to support Angus financially for the surgeries he requires.
These two passionate ladies have established an ongoing relationship with Angus and will again be taking up the challenge for the 2012 Cape Epic journey. The goal of the 2012 journey will be 2-fold, 1- targeting a higher overall ranking in the event AND 2- increasing the quantum of funds raised to support Angus and Little Ulrich also a dog bite victim."
Catherine and Julia are extremely proud of their association with Cipla Miles for Smiles foundation and the profound impact it has had on Angus’s life journey and both ladies look forward to joining forces with WOOLWORTHS this year to expand the awareness of the Miles for Smiles foundation and to make the journey count!
The ladies are challenging YOU to support their journey by supporting it with Rands and Cents, please help Angus and Ulrich by making a donation
You can follow their progress over the coming months on Cath Townshend's Twitter page, as well as Cath's Blog as they prepare mentally and physically for one of the toughest multi-stage MTB events in the world.”
